Description of the Company and Role
River Lounge Restaurant is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations, deliver excellent guest experiences, and build a motivated team. The ideal candidate combines hands-on leadership with strong commercial awareness and a genuine passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and consistent standards.
· Lead, train, and motivate the team, promoting professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
· Manage staff schedules and allocate duties according to business needs.
· Welcome guests, build customer relationships, and resolve complaints professionally.
· Coordinate with the kitchen to maintain food quality, accurate orders, and timely service.
· Monitor sales, operating costs, and restaurant performance against agreed targets.
· Control inventory, oversee purchasing, and reduce waste while maintaining sufficient stock.
· Ensure compliance with applicable food safety, hygiene, health, and workplace safety requirements.
· Oversee reservations, seating arrangements, and group bookings to make effective use of restaurant capacity.
· Maintain accurate cash handling, billing, and opening and closing procedures.
· Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee performance reviews.
· Work with management on promotions and initiatives to attract guests and encourage repeat visits.
· Maintain the restaurant’s presentation and coordinate equipment maintenance.
· Prepare operational reports and recommend improvements to service and profitability.
Requisitos
Candidate Profile
· Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, with at least 5 years of experience in the UAE.
· Must take on the challenge of a minimum sales target.
· 350-seat capacity restaurant, so big restaurant working experience as a manager will be an advantage.
· Strong leadership, communication, and guest service skills.
· Sound knowledge of restaurant operations, stock control, and cost management.
· Ability to remain organised and make effective decisions during busy service periods.
· Familiarity with restaurant POS systems and reporting tools.
· Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
· At least 5 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar leadership role.
· Strong team leadership and staff training skills.
· Excellent communication skills in English.
· Proven customer service and complaint resolution abilities.
· Vast knowledge of the UAE F&B market.
· Must have knowledge about online sales platforms like Keeta, Deliveroo, Careem, etc.
· Need to have quality knowledge of B2B sales.
