Functions of the Position
You’ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests.
· You will be responsible for assisting in overseeing the Housekeeping Operations to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.
· You are responsible for assisting the Assistant Executive Housekeeper & Senior Housekeeper in the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department and guiding and developing a committed multicultural team to ensure the impeccable Dorchester standards are met in all areas.
· Assist in the oversight of the daily shift operations of Housekeeping.
· Work with colleagues to ensure property guestrooms, public spaces, and colleagues' areas are clean and well maintained.
· Complete inspections and hold people accountable for corrective action.
· Ensure guest and colleague satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.
· Participate in the management of the department’s controllable expenses.
· Liaise with external contractors to ensure work schedules are completed as required, including marble polishing, carpet shampooing, façade cleaning, and casual employees.
· Prepare cyclical cleaning schedules for all public areas and liaise with Engineering for the PPM program.
· Guide, lead, and motivate the housekeeping team with passion and commitment.
